This is README.TXT for Geoware TTTSDK CD-ROM version 3.3

The World Data Center for Marine Geology and Geophysics
(WDC-MGG), co-located at the NOAA National Geophysical
Data Center, serves as the world’s recognized tsunami
database and archiving centre. The WDC-MGG and the ITIC
are providing free-of-charge, tsunami travel time cal-
culation and display software to government organizations
involved in providing tsunami warning and mitigation
services. Other interested organizations and individuals
are requested to obtain the software directly from the
developer Geoware. The Tsunami Travel Time (TTT) software
is used by the NOAA Pacific Tsunami Warning Center for its
operations calculations. Map graphics are made using the
open-source Generic Mapping Tools (GMT). Available since 2007.

TTT is proprietary software and subject to US Copyright laws.

Executables may not be shared with other entities.  The TTT
source code (obfuscated for protection) MAY NOT be shared
with others and is only distributed to make compilation on
a wide range of custom platforms possible.

This Installer will install TTTSDK version 3.3 for many
different operating systems.  NOTE: In all case the
installation process will run a post-install script to
uncompress and install the global bathymetry grids.
This can take > 5 minutes to complete - be patient.

WINDOWS:
--------

cd into the WINDOWS directory and run the TTTSDK33.EXE
installation program.

OS X:
-----

cd into the OS X directory and double-click on the
TTTSDK33.ZIP file, which will unzip the package and
put it on your Desktop.  Double-click to run the
package installation.

UNIX/LINUX:
-----------
cd to the UNIX directory and run the installer by
typing "sh ./INSTALL.SH".  Answer the questions and
the installer will compile and install the programs
and then extract the compressed bathymetry grids.
You obviously must have installed the developer
packages to have access to compilers such as the
GNU gcc.
