Readme_UHdata.txt 18 April 2000 Data files for MOUDI chemical data from Sept 1999 at Bellows Air Force Base, Oahu, HI are as follows: Moudi_ppt_48.txt 48 hour MOUDI sample (between intensives) Moudi_ppt_24.txt 24 hour MOUDI sample (between intensives) Moudi_ppt_AM.txt 12 hour MOUDI samples beginning at dawn (AM) Moudi_ppt_PM.txt 12 hour MOUDI samples beginning at dusk (PM) The MOUDI (Micro- Orifice Uniform Deposit Impactor), Model 100, uses 9 aluminum 47mm substrates for impaction followed by a Millipore post filter of 1um pore size. SCM, from the UVA/MIT notation, denotes Standard cubic meter at 0 degree C and 1 atm. 50% Aerodynamic cut diameters are calculated for each sample. Sample ID's end in the substrate number 1-9 or F (for post filter) Units are labeled accordingly, but to clarify, ppt is at ambient Temp and Press unless otherwise noted (in the detection limits). Detection limits (at the bottom of each file) were calculated using the average sample volumes for each length of sample. Acetate, Formate,Oxalate, and MSA were not measured for these samples. (Please disregard them) Consider data preliminary for now, as the calculations need to be checked through once more. Any errors will be corrected as soon as they are noticed. The 47mm filter data will also be posted shortly. 15 June 2000 The years were incorrect in the dates, so they were corrected. The 47mm filter data is also available as follows: 47mm_ppt_all_ftp.txt 3 hr 47mm filter samples (run continuously) 24 July 2000 The extraction volume used in the calculations was corrected (from 10ml to 3ml), and the nmol/SCM units were corrected as well. Note, the new file names are similar to the original file names, but to avoid confusion, they were renames as follows: Moudi_ppt_242.txt Moudi_ppt_482.txt Moudi_ppt_AM2.txt Moudi_ppt_PM2.txt 47mm_ppt_all2.txt 3 August 2000 Please note another correction in the 47mm_ppt_all2.txt. The sample beginning at 10:30 HST on 15 Sept had incorrect values for many of the chemical species. The corrections were made on the file. Sorry for the inconvenience.
